South Jakarta Eliminates Mosquito Nests in Petogogan

One of South Jakarta's acts in order to control dengue outbreaks is by eliminating mosquito nests (PSN) at RW 02, Petogogan Urban Village, Kebayoran Baru this Friday (3/22). In this event, mosquito larvae controllers (Jumantik cadres) checked 600 South Jakartan houses in the area to get rid of mosquitoes.

Jumantik's role is very important

Isnawa Adji, South Jakarta Vice Mayor instructs his apparatuses in SKPDs to remind each others about maintaining their environment clean thus can be avoided from dengue fever.

"Jumantik's role is very important. They give their time and energy to keep reminding us about the importance of living in a clean environment," he stated, Friday (3/22).

RW 02 Jumantik Coordinator, Watini mentioned, her side eliminates mosquito nest in the region every three days. Thanks to independent Jumantik who check their environment routinely, free mosquito larvae index in this region reaches 98.5 percent by this week.
